Since long last Benipur(Lakshmanpur) has been a religious place of old Darbhanga District of Bihar, was deprived from the source of Higher Education till 2019. This S. D. G. D. College has established under the dream project of Honourable Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's belief, "Higher Education at door". For the first time the government of bihar has made well equipped building and basic infrastructure. Although this college is in initial stage but a constituent unit of Lalit Narayana Mithila University . We are very grateful to Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.P. Singh and Honourable Registrar Dr. Mushtaque Ahmad, who have inspired me to make best effort for development of this college.

Last not least, i assure all parents and students that i will try myself best to the upliftment of this college and work towards making the students realize the following objectives:

• To uphold Indian culture and tradition
• To be sensitive towards preservation of environmental ecology

We hope that our college will fulfill its long awaiting desires very soon with the grace of Almighty, wishes of teachers, guardians and the people of the locality.
